Report illegal content
You can report content in the app or send a notice to support@roommate.ac without signing in. RoomMate's beta is for people 18 or older; anyone may send a safety or illegal-content notice.
These instructions support the Community Rules & Safety. They are an information page, not another document to accept.
Help us identify the issue
What to include
- Exact location: the URL or a precise description of the content, account and RoomMate surface.
- Why it is illegal: a substantiated explanation of your concern. For a rights notice, identify the right and your authority to act.
- Your name and email: the person or entity submitting the notice and an email address for follow-up, subject to the exception below.
- Good-faith statement: confirm that you believe the information and allegations in the notice are accurate and complete.
For notices concerning suspected offences referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU, including child sexual abuse and exploitation, your name and email are not required. The location, explanation and good-faith statement are still needed.
Prepare an illegal-content notice emailThis opens a draft in your email app. Review and send it there; opening the draft does not send a notice or confirm receipt.
Safety and follow-up
Send only what is needed
Do not download, save, screenshot, attach or forward suspected child sexual abuse material. Give its location and follow the child-safety instructions.
For immediate danger, call 112 in the Netherlands or your local emergency number. RoomMate is not an emergency service.
The Terms of Service explain moderation decisions and human review. To challenge a decision, use the available in-app action or Moderation appeal support. The Privacy Policy explains how report information is handled.
